With the Aktiv 05 active monitor box, ESI introduces a speaker that offers very high sound quality and sound transparency. In its price range, the ESI Aktiv 05 is among the best nearfield monitors. The Aktiv 05 model is designed for use in project studios and is equipped with a 1-inch silk dome tweeter and a 5-inch woofer. The output power is 60 watts, covering a frequency range of 50-20,000 Hz. Compared to the successful predecessor model nEar 05, this version features a new tweeter, improved suspension, and a completely new crossover (at 2.5 kHz). The combination of the woofer with the appropriate tweeter and the crossover allows the ESI Aktiv 05 to achieve a faithful reproduction of sound.
On the back of the compact and fully magnetically shielded monitor box, there is an XLR and jack combo input for balanced and unbalanced connections, as well as a control for adjusting the input level.

Für einen fairen Preis erhält man sehr gut verarbeitete und schicke Boxen, die insgesamt einen guten Klang haben. Der Bass spielt detailreich aber für uns etwas zu schwach und auch das Grundrauschen war im Test zu hören auch wenn dies nicht so ausgeprägt war. Preis-Leistung stimmen aber dennoch.
