Product details
Current limiting relay with 1 normally open contact rated for 16A/250VAC. No standby loss. One division unit. Maximum capacitive load is 240 microfarads after rectifier (e.g., energy saving lamps and electronic ballasts) or 120 microfarads directly on mains (e.g., parallel compensated fluorescent lamps). The limiting resistor is 12 ohms, with a limiting duration of approximately 15ms. The inrush current of energy-saving lamps, fluorescent lamps, and compact fluorescent lamps is limited to 20A by briefly connecting high-load resistors (12 ohms) for about 15ms. The current limiting relay is connected downstream of the relay contact of a switching device to be protected. Continuous load is a maximum of 1200W, with a maximum switching frequency of 600 per hour. The specification of the maximum capacitive load directly on the mains must be observed, particularly for parallel-compensated fluorescent lamps or conventional ballasts. In this case, the capacitor per lamp in parallel with the mains determines the correct dimensioning.
