EK-Quantum Velocity AMD is the high-performance flagship CPU water block in premium quality for modern AMD processors. It impresses with a fresh design that allows a wide range of variations and options for enthusiasts and demanding users. The EK Quantum Velocity series of CPU water blocks includes the 5th hydraulic flow restriction, which allows this product to be used in setups with weaker water pumps or lower pump speeds for added quiet operation while still providing peak performance. The water block also comes with the most sophisticated RGB lighting implementation on the market to date. A total of 24 LEDs are housed under the aesthetic cover, which connects to a standard 4-pin 12 V RGB header. The purest copper available on the market is used for the EK-Quantum Velocity cold plate, which is precision machined into a dense micro-fin structure. The contact surface itself is machine polished for better contact with the CPU IHS. This version of the water block features a nickel plated cold plate with a CNC machined glass-like acrylic top. The cooling engine features an integrated jet nozzle on top, which combined with a thicker jet plate allows for a more precise arc. The simplified water block structure provides optimized coolant flow and easier maintenance. The block features a reinforced hold-down, and the included mounting kit has all necessary mounting screws, mounting springs, an AMD AM4 backplate, rubber backplate gasket, and a small tube of Thermal Grizzly Hydronaut high performance thermal paste. The EK-Quantum Velocity CPU water block features a universal mounting mechanism that provides error-avoiding, tool-less installation and supports AMD AM4 sockets out of the box.
