EKWB EK Quantum Magnitude

The EK-Quantum Magnitude sTRX4 D-RGB - Nickel + Plexi is a CPU water block designed specifically for AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors. This product line is not intended to replace or supersede its Velocity sTR4 counterparts; rather, the Magnitude version is a sophisticated alternative optimized for Zen 2-based AMD Threadripper CPUs. The distinctive design sets the Magnitude apart, as each part is CNC-machined from a solid piece of material. The precision-milled flat cold plate is made of nickel-plated copper, while the top is crafted from glass-like acrylic material. The three-dimensional aluminum mounting frame complements the asymmetrical shape of the Threadripper CPU socket, making the screws an integral part of the water block. Strong edges and chamfers firmly root this futuristic design in the EK Quantum line. The Magnitude proudly carries the prestigious iF Design Award. It allows for the rotation of the insert by 180°, enabling the swapping of the optimal inlet and outlet ports to reverse the flow direction. Due to the asymmetrical nature of the SP3 bases and to prevent incorrect mounting, it is not possible to rotate the top, frame, or cold plate relative to the base. Accents in different colors are available separately and can be easily replaced. The water block features an advancement in patent-pending technology called TDC, or Targeted Die Cooling, which was first developed for the EK Threadripper 2nd generation CPU water blocks. The Magnitude now utilizes this technology on a more sophisticated level. The cooling motor is significantly enlarged, and the cold plate is completely flat with four patches that allow optimal contact with the IHS above the CCDs, creating ideal conditions for heat transfer. Two 0.5 mm thick nozzle plates ensure that the coolant flows effectively over the CCDs (Core Complex Dies).
