The electric safety lock 809 is a self-locking panic lock with a split latch and an electrically controllable outside handle. The outside handle can be temporarily or permanently turned on or off via the electronic control system. The handle operates on the fail-lock principle: when the lock is not powered, the outside handle is disengaged and does not function; when the lock is powered, the outside handle is engaged and operates normally.

This safety lock meets high standards in mechanical security thanks to its automatic self-locking feature, the 20 mm hardened extension bolt, and a locking bolt. It complies with the requirements for fire protection doors and is suitable for emergency exits according to DIN EN 179.
