The UV-C light must always be directed downwards. For safety reasons, SteriLight is equipped with a gravity sensor: to avoid harmful eye contact, this sensor ensures that the device automatically turns off when it is turned upside down. When the device is turned back to its original position (downwards), it automatically turns on again, and the UV-C light and indicator light illuminate once more.
