This version features Cherry MX Silent Red switches. Keyboards with Cherry MX Silent Red switches have a low actuation force and no tactile bump. A tactile bump is not necessarily required in action-packed games like first-person shooters, as keys can often be pressed fully in the heat of battle. The Cherry MX Silent Red switches are similar in characteristics to rubber dome keyboards. Thanks to their rubber dampers, they are significantly quieter compared to standard mechanical switches, making them ideal for office use, voice chat, and streaming.

The casing of the Ducky One 2 Mini Gaming Keyboard is two-toned: while the top is black, the frame and bottom of the keyboard are white. The keycaps are made from UV-lasered ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene).
