The Sabertooth 2x12A dual motor controller board is a versatile and efficient driver module for wheeled or tracked robots weighing up to 45kg. It is designed for a constant power consumption of 12A, with peak values up to 25A per motor.
The Sabertooth 2x12A features overcurrent and overtemperature protection, automatically putting the module into safety mode if the current exceeds safe levels. The transistors operate at 32kHz, enabling smooth and quiet operation. Additionally, the controller can be enhanced with a Kangaroo X2 motion controller for improved motor positioning accuracy and consistent speeds. The Kangaroo X2 connects easily to the Sabertooth Controller, allowing for the use of square encoders or potentiometers.
The Sabertooth Dual 12A Regenerative Motor Controller Board can be controlled using PWM signals or a serial/TTL interface, compatible with common single board computers and Atmel & ST microcontrollers.
