Product details
This flow sensor is integrated into the cooling circuit and allows for continuous flow measurement. The sensor can be connected to an aquaero 4.00 USB fan controller or the poweradjust USB pump control using a separately available connection cable. This new version, with a nozzle diameter of 5.6 mm, reduces flow resistance to a minimum compared to the previous version with a diameter of 3.3 mm, without significantly compromising measurement accuracy.
Please note the different calibration values for the various nozzle diameters:
Nozzle diameter 5.6 mm: 256 pulses per liter
Nozzle diameter 3.3 mm: 509 pulses per liter
The nozzle diameter is documented on the type label of the flow sensor.
Note on sensor compatibility:
Flow sensors are only suitable for connecting to a compatible control unit and cannot be directly connected to a fan output, such as that of a motherboard or fan controller, as the pulses output by the flow sensor do not reach the required pulse rate (like a fan). The only option is to use a pulse converter, which is placed between the flow sensor and, for example, the motherboard. However, for practical and cost reasons, we advise against this solution and recommend connecting this flow sensor directly to a compatible control unit.
