This is a wind direction meter from DFRobot. The unit measures the wind direction in 22.5° increments and then transmits it via RS485 connection. So it indicates one of 16 different directions in which the wind blows. The measurement takes place from a wind speed of at least 0.3m/s. The device is made of aluminium and has been sprayed with a protective lacquer. This means that the device can be used in any weather.
