Product details
The Gravity Water Flow Sensor from DFRobot measures the speed of a liquid flowing through it. The YF-S201 water flow sensor consists of a plastic valve body, a flow rotor, and a Hall effect sensor. It is typically used at the inlet to capture the flow rate. When liquid flows through the sensor, a magnetic rotor spins, and the rotational speed changes with the flow rate. The Hall effect sensor then outputs a pulse-width signal. Connect the sensor to a microcontroller, and you can monitor and regulate the water flow for various devices, such as a coffee machine, sprinklers, or a laser cooling system, according to your needs.
Information:
Avoid contact of the sensor with corrosive chemicals.
The sensor must be installed vertically, with no more than a 5-degree tilt.
The temperature of the liquid should be below 100 °C to prevent damage to the sensor.
