With this ORP sensor, you can easily measure the chlorine level in your pool. It is important to note that an ORP or REDOX sensor measures the oxidation or reaction potential of chlorine with water and expresses this as voltage (mV). This is different from an amperometric chlorine sensor, which indicates the chlorine level in parts per million (ppm). The sensor compares the REDOX potential of the pool with a stable reference solution and therefore does not need to be calibrated by the end user. However, if there is any doubt about the measurement, it can be verified and adjusted using an ORP standard solution or compared with a chlorine test strip.
