Product details
The DFRobot Leonardo with Xbee Socket is a board compatible with the Arduino Leonardo. The Arduino Leonardo is based on the ATmega32u4 chip and is the latest addition to the Arduino family. Compared to earlier Arduino controllers, the Leonardo is cheaper and easier to use due to the use of the ATmega32U4 as the sole microcontroller. Since the 32U4 directly handles USB, code libraries are available that allow the board to emulate a computer keyboard, mouse, and much more via the USB-HID protocol. Based on the Arduino Leonardo, this board features an XBee socket and 3 sensor expansion pins for your application. The XBee is a commonly used wireless communication module with 2.4G Zigbee, 900Mhz version, etc. The socket allows you to directly extend the XBee or XBee form factor WiFi, Bluetooth, and RF modules for your Arduino. However, the D14 to D16 expansion pins with power maximize the use of your ATmega32u4 microcontroller and directly support DFRobot's digital sensors and modules.
