Product details
Most ultrasonic distance sensors are not waterproof, which can be a problem when the sensor is used outdoors or in humid environments, such as in a water tank to measure water levels. DFRobot has developed a reliable ultrasonic distance sensor with a waterproof emitter for this application. This sensor is suitable for outdoor applications such as parking sensors, security alarms, industrial inspections, level monitoring, and water level monitoring in water tanks. The waterproof ultrasonic sensor A02YYUW offers a large monitoring range of 3 cm to 450 cm. The sensor features a sealed transmitter and receiver that are water and dustproof. The signal processing unit is integrated into the sensor module, allowing the distance value to be read directly via the asynchronous serial interface. With a baud rate of 9600 bps, the sensor can communicate with the microcontroller, significantly reducing development time for the user.
