This Ethernet LAN to RS-232 converter from Delock offers a convenient solution for integrating RS-232 devices into a LAN infrastructure via Plug and Play. It supports connections with RS-232 devices such as scanners, machines, instruments, routers, IoT devices, etc. A Windows application allows for centralized control of the Ethernet LAN converters. This includes selecting the desired network interfaces, configuring the COM port settings, as well as functions for manual or automatic connections, password protection, device name, and MAC hardware addresses. Integration into the network. In the local network (Local Area Network or Wireless Local Area Network), the converter interacts with the MAC hardware address (device address) without using the TCP/IP protocol. This reduces response times between computers and RS-232 devices with very low latency. Additionally, the use of the Ethernet protocol eliminates the need for the usual configuration of IP addresses.
