The DeLOCK 89918 is a PCI card that provides two RS-232 serial interfaces for computer systems that require classic serial connections. This network card enables reliable data transmission for industrial equipment, point-of-sale systems, laboratory instruments, and other devices that use serial communication protocols. With two independent RS-232 ports featuring standard DB9 connectors, this PCI card supports data transfer rates of up to 115.2 kbps with full hardware handshake functionality for stable communication. The card is compatible with standard PCI 2.2 slots and does not require an external power supply, as it draws power directly from the motherboard. Each port supports standard serial communication parameters, including 5, 6, 7, or 8 data bits, 1, 1.5, or 2 stop bits, as well as parity options of none, odd, or even parity. The card includes a low-profile bracket for installation in compact cases, alongside the standard bracket for traditional desktop computers. Manufactured with industrial-grade components, this serial adapter card offers consistent performance for continuous operation environments. The DeLOCK 89918 is particularly suitable for system integrators, IT professionals, and industrial automation applications where reliable serial connectivity for device connections is essential. Installation requires an available PCI slot and appropriate driver software, which is typically included in modern operating systems or provided by the manufacturer. This product represents a practical solution for extending serial connectivity to modern computer systems that lack native serial interfaces while maintaining compatibility with older devices when using contemporary computer hardware.
