The new USB 2.0 Virtual Media SIP with CAC support is a high-resolution, USB 2.0-based SIP that supports virtual media and Smart Cards/CAC. This SIP offers a full speed of 12 Mbps, allowing the administrator to remotely install or patch software, saving valuable time. Additionally, the USB 2.0/VM/CAC SIP also enables multifactor authentication, which is required in secure environments. Like all Dell SIPs, it converts the signals from a server's keyboard, monitor, and mouse and transmits them over a single CAT5 cable, eliminating typical KVM cable management issues. The USB 2.0/VM/CAC SIP draws power from the server and features a "Keep Alive" function that ensures your server operates properly, regardless of whether a connection to the KVM switch is established. This product has been tested and validated on Dell systems to ensure compatibility with your KVM switch. It is supported by Dell Technical Support when used with a Dell system.
