Product details

Lampe Gras luminaire series. If a type of lamp is so well thought out and beautiful in form that it was even used by a legend like Le Corbusier in his studios, the predicate "iconic" is probably no exaggeration: the design goes back to designs by Bernard-Albin Gras (1886-1943). As early as 1921, the lamps impressed with their variable adjustability, low-maintenance mechanics and material-based durability. In 1927, the Ravel company applied for a patent on the technical design - they earned it because of the unique shapes as well as the locking of the concise ball joints, which do not require any screws at all. Original copies are now traded at high collector prices, so re-editions of the Parisian brand DCW éditions now get a chance: Lampe Gras model N°411 floor lamp. DCW éditions delivers the model N°411 as a classic floor lamp - but with an unusual boom: While the foot delights as a round base, the metal shade bewitches in the proven bell shape.
