DCW éditions Lamp grass model N°411 floor lamp
E14Product details
Lampe Gras Lighting Series. When a type of lamp is so thoughtfully designed and aesthetically pleasing that it was even used by a legend like Le Corbusier in his studios, the term "iconic" is certainly not an exaggeration: The design originates from the sketches of Bernard-Albin Gras (1886–1943). As early as 1921, the lamps impress with their variable adjustability, low-maintenance mechanics, and durability due to the materials used. In 1927, the company Ravel registered the patent for the technical construction – a well-deserved recognition due to the unique shapes and the locking mechanism of the distinctive ball joints, which operate without screws. Original pieces are now traded at high collector prices, allowing re-editions from the Parisian brand DCW éditions to emerge: Lampe Gras Model N°411 Floor Lamp. The Model N°411 is offered by DCW éditions as a classic floor lamp – but with an unusual arm: While the base delights as a round pedestal, the metal shade enchants in the tried-and-true bell shape.
