dB Technologies Sub 05D

The Sub 05D is equipped with a 15" speaker, providing an optimal compromise between sound quality and transportability. The acoustic concept of the Sub 05D is a semi-bandpass design, which generates additional efficiency and a higher maximum level due to its mechanical properties compared to conventional systems of similar power.

To counteract the acoustic limitations of the bandpass philosophy, the bandpass chamber is partially open at the front to allow for a corresponding amount of direct sound. All models in the Sub-D series feature so-called hybrid enclosures. The fully wooden housing is effectively protected on the surfaces by a PVC laminate. The side panels, including an ergonomic transport handle, are made of polypropylene and cover the wooden sides.

Thanks to the integrated stereo crossover, the Sub 05D can be flexibly configured from one to multiple Sub 05D units. Like all dBTechnologies active subwoofers, the Sub 05D features a phase reverse switch and an input-side dual limiter. A 35mm flange is available for the use of a distance pole.
