The PowerScan 8000 series models are Datalogic Scanning's premium class of robust, industrial-grade handheld scanners. The wireless PowerScan PM8500 Area Imager enables omnidirectional reading of 1D and 2D codes, combined with unrestricted mobility through Datalogic's STAR Cordless System. The Datalogic STAR Cordless System for narrowband radio communication is key to increased productivity and flexibility in the workplace. It offers scalable solutions from simple point-to-point applications to network capabilities. The optional display with a 3-button keypad provides the user with useful information, such as time and battery status, and allows for bidirectional data exchange with the host. The powerful lithium-ion battery can be swapped out in seconds and recharged on the charging and transmission station or in a separate multi-battery charger.
