Product details
Through DPM (Direct Part Marking) methods, users can apply their barcodes directly onto an object, meaning that no paper labels are required. There are various techniques for applying a barcode directly onto an object: laser etching, needle embossing, and inkjet printing. Each of these methods has its specific advantages and disadvantages regarding durability, cost, and readability.
Specifically designed for capturing directly marked codes, the Area Imager series, PowerScan PD9530-DPM Evo, has been developed.
To ensure that the capture of DPM codes is simple and intuitive, we have equipped the PowerScan PD9530-DPM Evo Imager series with the latest optics and software. Depending on the DPM technology and material used, the resolution of the code, and the structure of the surface, the typical reading distance ranges from contact up to 4-5 cm. The scanner also allows for the capture of barcodes on labels. The imagers are based on high-resolution optics, enabling the capture of very small, high-resolution codes at a distance range of almost 0 to 15 cm.
The new lighting system is based on a soft, white light that minimizes strain or irritation to the user's eyes, even in scan-intensive applications.
Through Motionix technology, the natural movements of the user are detected, and the scanner responds by automatically switching to the appropriate scan mode.
