Dali Oberon 5

Slim floorstanding loudspeakers such as the Oberon 5 are regarded as the all-rounders among the sound converters: they require comparatively little floor space, can be easily integrated into most living environments and offer outstanding sound quality.

The fact that the Oberon 5 is one of the most sonorous representatives of its trade is not only due to the particularly stable case, which is reinforced with internal cross struts and so well protected against disturbing case resonances, but also to the technical ingredients that are not common in this price category. So it's no surprise that the two DALI-developed bass/midrange drivers provide deep, dynamic bass and balanced, natural midrange reproduction. This is because the drivers not only feature particularly lightweight yet extremely stiff 130 mm (5 1/4'') wood fibre diaphragms, but also magnet systems manufactured with the patented magnetic material SMC and high-quality voice coils wound from a copper-coated aluminium wire. All this leads to a particularly impulsive, lively and faithful reproduction of all music and film soundtracks.

Above 2,400 Hz, the tweeter specially designed for the Oberon series reproduces all upper mid-range and high frequencies. The 29 mm dome, which is particularly large, consists of an exceptionally light tissue and can therefore reproduce even the shortest impulses very precisely in the signal path. Thanks to its wide dispersion characteristic, the Oberon 5 is able to sound the whole room with a neatly staggered stereo sound image and not the few listening places in the "sweet spot" that are exactly opposite the loudspeakers.
