Also, wash new clothing before applying the transfer, as they are often treated with chemicals to make the colors appear more vibrant. These chemicals should be removed before processing. Now, preheat the area where the design will be ironed on with your iron for five to ten seconds. Make sure that the steam function is turned off if you are using a steam iron. Next, place the design on the preheated fabric and iron over it in circular motions for about 30 seconds.
