Shake the marker vigorously before use and then press the tip lightly up and down on a piece of paper several times to get the ink flowing. For the first replacement of the felt tip: Gently pull out the felt tip, turn it around, and press the unused side straight in. After further use, replace the tip with the spare tip in the cap. For optimal results on surfaces where the paint may bleed (e.g., untreated wood), these should be primed beforehand.
