The specially designed ES-68 lens hood for the EF 50mm f/1.8 STM protects against stray light entering the lens space and minimizes unwanted reflective light reflections. The matte black interior of the lens hood prevents unnecessary reflections. A simple and secure connection is ensured by a threaded attachment that discreetly clicks into a groove on the lens ring. The lens hood also provides additional protection against bumps and scratches.
