It features an index setting that allows the photographer to determine the required density between +1 and +5 stops. To avoid imaging errors, the light reduction cannot be set beyond a critical value. Color reproduction remains consistent across the entire adjustment range. This enables professional imaging performance with the B+W ND Vario filter, even at high filter factors.

The B+W ND Vario filter can be continuously adapted to a wide variety of subject situations. A large aperture is often desired to visually separate the main subject from the background or to intentionally use long exposure times to create a soft, flowing water effect.
