Basically, the following applies to charging with the LUXOS U: The integrated buffer battery, which supplies the charging current and keeps it constant, does not only have the task of supplying a USB device.
It also supplies the flood and parking light function. To fully charge the buffer battery, you have to drive for about 20 minutes at a speed of over 17 km/h without a USB device connected - and with the lights off. This means that the Luxos is optimally prepared within the scope of its possibilities for operating/charging a USB device.
The LUXOS U is not comparable to a normal mains charger for mobile devices; it supplies power to terminal devices. In running applications this can be enough to charge, in heavy power consumers it is sometimes only enough to slow down the discharge. The higher the driving speed, the more charging current is potentially available.
