Boya BY-BM3031 Clip-on microphone

The Boya BY-BM3031 condenser shotgun microphone is a supercardioid condenser microphone that is ideal for general audio recordings in your studio and on location. The BY-BM3031 is compatible with DSLR cameras, camcorders, audio recorders, and more. For high reliability, this shotgun microphone is made of ABS material and features an integrated shock mount, which helps avoid unnecessary vibrations and background noise.

During recording, you can choose between three volume levels: +20dB, 0dB, and -10dB. +20dB amplifies softer sounds, while -10dB reduces the likelihood of loud sounds causing distortion. Additionally, this shotgun microphone has a low-cut filter that eliminates lower frequency noises. Along with the windscreen, a pop filter is also included to minimize background noises such as wind. This makes the shotgun microphone suitable for various situations.

To use the microphone, insert two AA batteries (not included). This allows you to use the microphone for up to 120 hours. Then, attach the shotgun microphone to your camera using the 1/4" threaded mount or the hot shoe. Connect your camera to the microphone with the included 3.5mm output cable. The left slider allows you to turn the microphone on and off and to toggle the low-cut filter. The slider on the right lets you set the desired sound level. You can also monitor sounds in real-time by simply plugging your headphones into the built-in headphone jack.
