Tea drinkers will appreciate the new Bistro kettle with temperature control and keep-warm function, as different types of tea often require water at varying temperatures. For instance, green tea is not brewed with boiling water but rather with water heated to between 60 and 90 degrees, depending on the variety. The temperature setting can be adjusted to a higher temperature at any time during the heating process by simply turning the temperature dial to the desired degree. Pressing the on/off switch starts the heating process. The switch blinks until the selected water temperature is reached or the water boils. It then turns off, and an acoustic signal sounds. The device is equipped with a keep-warm function that maintains the water temperature for 30 minutes. To activate this, simply press the keep-warm button, which will remain lit until the 30 minutes have elapsed, the button is pressed again, or the cordless kettle is removed from the separate flat heating base. This feature is particularly convenient for a second tea infusion.
