For better connectivity and to prevent sound degradation when passing through human tissue, the Beoplay E8 uses NFMI (Near Field Magnetic Induction), an audio streaming technology that transmits sound from one headphone to the other via a magnetic field. This allows the master headphone to deliver sound to the slave headphone without loss of quality. The NFMI technology is the digital wireless technology currently used in hearing aids. When making calls or listening to music, the right headphone can also be used as a standalone device. A charging time of just 20 minutes provides you with an hour of music enjoyment.

Kabel bei Kopfhörern sind out, der Trend neigt sich in Richtung drahtlos. Das geht auch an Bang & Olufsen nicht vorüber, weshalb die Dänen nun ihren ersten vollkommen strippenlosen Ohrhörer auf den Markt bringen. Im Paket finden sich zwei Ohrstücke, die im Vergleich zu anderen Modellen nicht allzu klobig in den Lauschern sitzen...
Der E8 kommt ganz ohne Kabel aus, mit seinem klaren Klang ist er das bisher beste True-Wireless-Modell. Er ist im Ohr kaum spürbar. Gewöhnung erfordert die Steuerung: Der Beoplay E8 akzeptiert nur Tipp-, nicht aber Wischgesten, das macht die Lautstärkeregelung fummelig. Gut: Der Transparenz-Modus leitet Außengeräusche durch.
Smarte Funktionen lässt B&O bei den Beoplay E8 weg. Per Knopfdruck lassen sich aber wie bei den anderen Geräten Siri oder Google Assistant ansprechen. Die App dient hauptsächlich zur einfachen Kopplung. Dennoch hatten wir massive Probleme, Android-Geräte mit den E8 zu verbinden...
