With hard tubes, large sections of the tubing in a water cooling system can be created in one piece and without the need for many fittings, angles, T-pieces, and other adapters. The rigid, often colorful tubes can be cut to the required length by users who are not completely unskilled and can also be bent to shape with the help of a heat source.

For example, using a heat gun to warm the tube for several minutes will soften the material enough to easily bend it to the desired radius, holding it in place until it cools down and the now-bent tube hardens.
