Product details
An extra-large wooden guiro, 40 cm long, in a cheerful red-green painted fish shape with a scraper, ideal for music in schools or music academies. The guiro is a percussion instrument, originally made from a dried bottle gourd, but nowadays produced from wood, plastic, or metal. Using the accompanying scraper stick, you can scrape over the grooves of the guiro to create buzzing sounds. Guiros are musical instruments that can be played intuitively. Additionally, the large guiro is colorful and child-friendly, making the "scraping cucumber" particularly popular among children. The guiro is an essential part of Cuban music, is used in pop music, and also has a place in some orchestras. Like all percussion instruments, the wooden guiro is very well suited for early musical education. Therefore, it can be used in kindergartens and schools, as well as in music schools.
