Der Beats EP ist schlicht, aber sehr solide gebaut, das On-Ear-Modell sitzt sicher und angenehm auf den Ohren. Dem Klang fehlt etwas Tiefbass, insgesamt tönt der Beats EP leicht muffig und verhangen. Das Kabel mit Freisprechmikrofon ist nicht abnehmbar. Als Zubehör liefert Beats nur einen Stoffbeutel für den Transport mit.
Auf dem dritten Platz überzeugten die Beats EP Kopfhörer mit einer geringen Schalldurchlässigkeit, einem bequemen On-Ear-Sitz und einer simplen Bedienung, wobei sich die Lautstärke bei Android-Geräten nicht einstellen ließ.
Auf jeden Topf passt ein Deckel, auf jedes Ohr ein Kopfhörer.
