IP Audio Decoder

The IP-FORMER converts passive speakers into network speakers, enabling audio streaming over the internet to existing passive speakers. Due to its compact design, the IP-FORMER can be directly mounted to the existing passive speaker using the transformer bracket. The built-in digital 8-W Class-D audio amplifier delivers high-quality audio signals to the connected wall, ceiling, or table speakers (2-8 Ω). The power supply for the IP-FORMER is provided via an external Power over Ethernet (PoE, IEEE 802.3af) power supply. As a decoder, the IP-FORMER streams audio from radio stations, phones, and intercoms, making it suitable for speakers used for background music and live announcements in schools, offices, retail environments, or for announcements based on the SIP protocol (Session Initiation Protocol).
