The symmetrical incisions in the lampshade lend the silhouette originality and character. The centre of the lampshade is concave and open, allowing the light source to emerge from the opening and play a key role in the lamp's aesthetic. This metal corolla, which discreetly surrounds the light source and makes it visible, creates an interplay of interlocking volumes. The glare-free light is directed onto the countersink in the lampshade, creating an almost perfect circle of light in the centre of the luminaire and casting delicate shadows on the walls. The gold-coloured brass details that adorn the lamp further enhance the exquisite look of this luminaire. The choice of light source (not included) determines the aesthetics of the Cycnus lamp.
