Audio-Technica's proven dual-element design features two elements (condenser and dynamic) in a common housing. The dynamic element provides punch and quick response, while the condenser element captures the full spectrum of sound. The elements are positioned with phase accuracy, which is nearly impossible with two separate microphones. It includes an integrated 80 Hz high-pass filter switch and a 10 dB pad for the condenser element. There are multiple mounting options and effective attenuation of mechanical noise with the included stand clamp. The gold-plated XLRM connector has corrosion-resistant contacts.
