Der ATH-M50x ist ein Kopfhörer, der Filmprofis und Musikliebhaber gleichermaßen in Verzückung versetzen wird. Die robuste Bauweise und der große Ausstattungsumfang sind neben dem ausgezeichneten Klang seine starken Argumente. Angesichts des zudem günstigen Straßenpreises von knapp 180 Euro ist das Gerät ein echter Geheimtipp.
Der Testsieger überzeugt mit einem sauberen Klang sowie guter Detailwiedergabe. Dabei ist das Modell auch preislich fair und hat einen sehr hohen Pegel. das Kabel ist austauschbar und nur beim Bass spielte der AT etwas unsauber. Dennoch der verdiente erste Platz, wobei er mit deutlichem Abstand sich den Zweitplatzierten vom Leibe halten konnte.
