The ASUS STRIX TACTIC PRO is an extremely robust, illuminated mechanical gaming keyboard designed with a focus on providing exceptionally high responsiveness. The ASUS STRIX TACTIC PRO features full USB N-Key Rollover (NKRO) technology as well as 13 dedicated, easily accessible macro keys for quick and straightforward command customization. Additionally, the F1 to F8 keys can also be configured as macro keys, allowing for a total of 21 shortcuts available with just one click. Moreover, commands can be created during operation using the macro recording key, without needing to interrupt gameplay. To meet the demands of hardcore gamers, the ASUS STRIX TACTIC PRO is equipped with black Cherry MX switches. These high-quality switches have a lifespan of up to 50 million keystrokes - ten times more than a conventional keyboard. The switches are also particularly touch-sensitive and extremely responsive, enabling maximum actions per minute (APM).

Asus ist durchaus eine gute Gaming-Tastatur gelungen. Die Strix Tactic Pro ist robust, hochwertig und bietet einiges an Funktionalität. Schade, dass die Tastatur in der Schweiz derzeit nur mit Cherry-MX-Black-Switches angeboten wird, den wohl unbequemsten und akustisch mühsamsten Cherry-Switches des aktuellen Mainstreams. Eine Variante mit MX Brown oder Blue wäre deutlich angenehmer.
Das Modell von Asus macht einen guten Job was den Anschlag sowie den Druckpunkt der einzelnen Tasten angeht. Auch dass das Gerät einige Makrotasten besitzt ist positiv zu erwähnen, wobei leider eine Ablage für die Handballen fehlt. Somit ist die Tastatur eher weniger für Vielschreiber geeignet, das dies zu Ermüdungserscheinungen führen kann. Dennoch ist die Strix gut aufgestellt.
