Successor to the 90YV0DG0-M0NA00
The Super models of the GeForce RTX family offer more video memory and an increased number of shader cores compared to their standard RTX predecessors. With this product refresh, Nvidia meets the demands of demanding games with ray tracing effects. Nvidia positions the GeForce RTX 2060 Super slightly below a regular GeForce RTX 2070. It uses the TU106 chip known from the RTX 2070, with 2176 active shader processors and 14 Gbps GDDR6 memory. A GeForce RTX 2060 Super is fast enough for ray tracing at 1080p or 1440p.
The new Turing graphics chips of the RTX series contain special computing units that accelerate ray tracing rendering. The interaction of these ray tracing cores with the GPU enables real-time ray tracing in games for the first time. This allows for better shadows and, above all, much more realistic reflections.
The Asus GPU Tweak II Utility allows you to tune your graphics card at a new level. The software provides you with the ability to optimize key parameters such as GPU core clock, memory frequency, voltage settings, and more. You can monitor everything in real-time through a customizable interface. Enhanced fan control is integrated, along with many other features that help you get the most out of your graphics card.
This graphics card features a USB-C interface designed for compatible VirtualLink VR headsets. VirtualLink offers a total of 32.4 Gbps - enough for a 4K panel at 120 Hz (which means uncompressed 2160 x 1920 pixels per eye). Additionally, the standard combines data and power into a single cable. A connected VR headset can theoretically be powered with up to 27 watts, allowing for more chips and sensors in the device. The consortium behind it includes AMD, Microsoft, Nvidia, Oculus, and Valve, who have come together to develop the interface.
