The Asus GeForce RTX 2070 ROG STRIX O8G is part of NVIDIA's 2000 series gaming graphics cards and serves as a link between high-end and mid-range options. It features a TU106 graphics chip with 2,304 CUDA cores. The chip is manufactured using a 12-nm FinFET process and is based on the "Turing" GPU architecture. It utilizes GDDR6 VRAM with a capacity of 8 GB. Additionally, ray tracing and tensor cores enable fantastic light and shadow effects. The ASUS GeForce RTX 2070 ROG STRIX O8G comes with a factory-set base clock of 1,410 MHz and a preset boost clock of 1,815 MHz, which is automatically activated via GPU Boost when the graphics chip requires more power. The graphics card can also switch to OC mode via software, increasing the base clock to 1,410 MHz and the boost clock to 1,845 MHz. The GDDR6 video memory operates at a very fast 7,000 MHz (effectively 14,000 MHz), which is nearly 75 percent faster than its direct predecessor.
