Arduino Ethernet Shield 2 (with PoE module)
Product details
Original Arduino Ethernet Shield 2 (with PoE)
With this Ethernet Shield, you can connect your Arduino to the internet and even use it as a web server! Start your coffee machine via the internet or let your garage door tweet!
Featuring a W5500 Ethernet controller, RJ45 socket, and microSD card reader.
Version 2 of the shield is equipped with the Wiznet W5500 and allows for up to 8 simultaneous connections. Also included is a microSD card reader, which can be easily accessed using the Arduino SD library.
Thanks to the stackable headers, additional shields can be stacked on top of the Ethernet Shield.
The open-source TCP/IP stack is available as an Arduino library.
The shield can be expanded with a 12V PoE module. Unlike the older Ethernet Shield, no soldering is required here; the board can simply be plugged in.
Note: At this time, the shield is not compatible with the Arduino Zero!.
