The LGA1700 mounting kit makes the entire Liquid Freezer II series compatible with Intel's new Alder Lake processors. Although the socket and heat spreader have increased in size compared to the predecessor, the CPU die surface has been reduced and remains centered. The cold plate of the Liquid Freezer II fully covers this area.
