Detailed features of the ULTITUBE D5 50 expansion tank: The ULTITUBE 50 expansion tank from Aqua Computer is equipped with a tube made of borosilicate glass. Borosilicate glass has a much higher hardness and scratch resistance compared to commonly used plexiglass. It also possesses excellent chemical and thermal resistance and expands only slightly when heated.

Both ends of the glass tube are securely connected with metal rings made of black anodized aluminum, which do not come into contact with the cooling medium. Thanks to the clever design, internal struts or additional tubes can be omitted. The lid and base of the ULTITUBE 50 are made from durable acetal and are screwed together with the aluminum rings and the tube.

The glass tube has a wall thickness of 5 mm and an outer diameter of 65 mm. A filter made of stainless steel mesh is integrated into the base of the expansion tank. The filter captures particles and eliminates annoying air bubbles. The filter element is easily removable and can be cleaned under running water. The seal in the lid of the expansion tank is designed as a rubber molded part for easy installation, ensuring it is securely positioned when screwing on the lid.
