Aputure Amaran AL-MX

Small but not to be underestimated: The AL-MX is one of two lights with which Aputure sets a new standard for on-camera lights. This fixture combines cutting-edge LED technology and high light output with a very compact aluminum housing. The latter impresses with extreme durability and a contemporary design, fitting easily into a jacket pocket. The light output is approximately 628 lumens, while the illuminance is 200 lux at a distance of 100 cm. 200 lux may not sound like much, but it is quite impressive considering the small size and wide beam angle. The beam angle is 120 degrees, allowing for very broad illumination. Additional features include adjustable color temperature and high light quality. With a CRI value of 95, the light nearly reaches the ideal value of 100. The high light quality helps achieve recordings with lifelike colors.

Brightness and color temperature are each adjustable in five levels - with a boost mode.

The brightness and color temperature can each be adjusted in five levels. For this purpose, there are two buttons on the top of the light. A sliding switch allows you to toggle between adjusting brightness and adjusting color temperature. The five levels for brightness are 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100%. The adjustment range for color temperature spans from a very warm 2800 K to 4300 K and 5000 K, up to daylight-like 5500 K and cool 6500 K. A special feature is the boost mode, which increases the light output by 30% for a duration of 60 seconds at the push of a button.
