As a PCI Express card specifically designed for the Mac Pro, Afterburner can be installed in any full-length slot but delivers its performance in a PCIe x16 slot.
Compatible with Mac Pro (current generation). PCI Express x16 card. Supports playback of up to six 8K ProRes RAW streams or 23 4K ProRes RAW streams. The tests were conducted by Apple in November 2019 using prototypes of Mac Pro systems with a 2.5 GHz 28-core Intel Xeon W processor, 384 GB of RAM, and dual AMD Radeon Pro Vega II graphics. Tested with Final Cut Pro 10.4.7 and various projects with different stream counts and resolutions. The performance tests reflect the approximate performance of the Mac Pro.
