Product details

Big Ben is undoubtedly one of the most revolutionary master clocks, combining Apogee's legendary clocking technology and much more in a standalone device. The combination of C777 clock technology and ALF (Adaptive Loop Filtering) makes Big Ben the most reliable clock generator with the lowest jitter values, supporting all sample rates. With Big Ben, you can synchronize all digital devices in your recording system and will immediately notice improvements in sound, transparency, depth, and precision during recording and mixing.

Thanks to support for AES, S/PDIF, and Optical formats, as well as six WordClock outputs and an expansion slot for the X-Video option, Big Ben is incredibly flexible and ensures comprehensive synchronization and format conversion in any studio.

ALF optimizes the clocking qualities of Big Ben through an intelligent low-pass filter. The C777 technology converts all input signals into a binary data stream (1s and 0s): this allows Big Ben to dynamically compensate for excessive jitter and significantly improve already acceptable clock signals. No matter what the input signal looks like, ALF adapts to all obstacles, masters them, and generates a clock source that is both stable and reliable with minimal jitter.

Big Ben undoubtedly makes a crucial difference in the recording studio – but it also provides advantages in live operation for FOH and monitor mixing. Synchronize your preferred digital mixing console, such as a Yamaha PM5D, AVID VENUE, DiGiCo SD8, or others, to Big Ben and subsequently benefit from improved dynamics, transparency, depth, and stereo separation in your system. It's as simple as connecting a BNC cable. Additionally, synchronize your CD-R recorders, digital reverbs, and other digital devices to your digital console to optimize the sound throughout your entire setup.
