Evaluation board for AD8318, logarithmic detector/controller, 1 MHz to 8 GHz, 70 dB. The AD8318-EVALZ evaluation board is fully assembled, 4-layered, and powered by a simple 5-volt power supply. The board's configuration for operation in either controller or measurement mode is achieved by opening or shorting the feedback resistor. The performance can be optimized in both modes using the resistive and filtering networks present on the board. The inputs are configured for single-ended operation and provide a broadband input impedance of 50 Ω. The board also offers the user options for optimizing the output filter and temperature compensation interface.
