Amplicomms BigTel 1202 features a cordless telephone with a handsfree function and many comfort functions for better hearing and vision (Duo-Set). The receiver volume on the handset is adjustable up to a maximum of 30 dB, and it has a hearing aid compatible receiver with an extra loud adjustable volume of the ringtone exceeding 80 dB. There are 10 different ringtones available on the handset, including 5 polytone options.

It includes optical and audible battery empty warning ringtones at the base, adjustable in 5 volume levels and switchable. The extra-large dot matrix LC display measures 96x64 dots, featuring 2 lines for numbers and letters and 1 line for symbols, all with backlighting.

The lighting keypad has an LED call display available in 6 languages: German, English, French, Dutch, Spanish, and Italian. It adheres to DECT and GAP standards, allowing operation with up to 5 handsets per basic call number display (CLIP). The phone can store the last 15 incoming call numbers and has a phonebook with up to 100 entries of names and numbers. It offers up to 100 hours of standby operation and up to 10 hours of continuous calls. Additionally, there are 2 direct dialing memory keys on the handset (M1/M2) and it is capable of a paging function for handset search.
