Product details

The powerful Threadripper CPUs are the pinnacle of AMD's Ryzen processor series. They are aimed at professional content creators as well as enthusiasts and run on motherboards with AMD's X399 chipset. The high-end CPUs not only achieve impressive results in benchmark programs but are also more energy-efficient under full load compared to comparable Intel models. Everything about Threadripper is twice as large as previous Ryzen CPUs: the processor has double the number of cores and double the number of memory channels. Additionally, it offers full PCI-Express support with 64 lanes. Four of these connect to the chipset, while the remaining 60 can accommodate up to seven PCI-Express devices - for example, up to four graphics cards and three NVMe SSDs simultaneously. While other Ryzen CPUs support DDR4 memory in dual-channel mode, Threadripper supports quad-channel DDR4 with ECC. Thanks to AMD SenseMI Technology, the processor excels with adaptive performance. AMD SenseMI automatically boosts the processor to peak speed when the PC requires more power for demanding tasks. This means that performance is available when you need it, while keeping power consumption low during normal operation. To extract maximum performance from the Ryzen CPUs, the processors with the X suffix are equipped with the new XFR feature. XFR means that these CPUs automatically allow overclocking beyond the regular boost clock. The maximum clock rate adjusts according to the cooling solution used, whether it be air, water, or liquid nitrogen. With the AMD Ryzen Master tool, you can easily overclock the CPU thanks to its unlocked multiplier. In AMD Ryzen Master, you can also easily keep track of the temperature and much more.
