The device supports Amazon Kids, but not Amazon Kids Plus. It supports public and private Wi-Fi networks as well as hotspots that use the standards 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, or 802.11n, and offers encryption via WEP, WPA, and WPA2 with password authentication. It does not support connections to ad-hoc (or peer-to-peer) Wi-Fi networks.
The device features a USB-C port for connecting to a PC or Mac, as well as for charging via the included power adapter. It has a microSD slot for external storage, a 3.5 mm stereo jack, and a built-in speaker. Additionally, it includes an accelerometer and a 2 MP camera on both the front and back with 720p HD video recording. External volume controls are also integrated, along with Bluetooth support for A2DP-compatible headphones, speakers, microphones, and LE accessories.
